Warmflow donates top energy efficient equipment to SERC
With increasing emphasis on reducing carbon emissions, Warmflow Engineering has donated the UK and Irelands first double A rated oil boilers to South Eastern Regional College (SERC). The equipment will ensure that local businesses and the engineers of tomorrow have the skills to operate and maintain modern day, energy efficient technology.
The new boilers have been installed at the Colleges Newtownards campus and their new Professional Skills Centre in Nutts Corner which is set to open in September. The equipment will be used to upskill both engineers already working in the sector as well as SERC apprentices.
Given access to the latest equipment, SERC lead business manager Paul Henry said “We pride ourselves on developing work ready graduates and modern equipment is critical to enable us to do this. This will give engineers and apprentices the skills they need to be successful in the sector and maintain a competitive edge.”
Warmflow Sales Director Oliver Cormican explains; “As a local company, based in Lisburn, developing a partnership with SERC was a natural fit. Through supplying new, Warmflow boilers to the college, we hope to ensure that the next generation of installers have the opportunity to work on state of the art, modern technology to ensure they are adequately equipped for their future career.
“We have enjoyed a long standing relationship with our local college and are delighted to have the opportunity to provide equipment that will enhance training and skills development.”
The collaboration between SERC and Warmflow will equip the workforce with the latest skills base, help with career progression and meet the increasing demand for highly skilled engineers within the industry.
